Resurrection Fern

Resurrection Fern (Polypodium polypodioides) is an epiphyte that lives on the branches of trees, large old oak trees on my place in Lavaca County, Texas. When the weather is dry, it dries and shrivels. Not knowing its habits, I assume all of it had died during the 2011 drought. Not so.  When the rains returned, so did the Resurrection Fern.  This picture postdates the drought.
