Scott Gottlieb discusses this at Forbes Online. It’s possible that apparently healthy people would need to be held involuntarily up to three weeks after exposure to see if the disease develops. That’s terrible to contemplate, but not as terrible as out-of-control Ebola. One question is where quarantined people would be held. Depending on how fast the disease spreads, we may not have adequate facilities.
